Course Objectives

The goal of this course is to prepare students for the real-world challenges of a Microsoft networking professional. It is designed based on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with some extra examples of other server operating systems.

Grading and Evaluation Criteria

  • 40 % of the grade is based on a final examination.
  • 40 % of the grade is based midterms (3 midterms 10 , 15 , 15)
    An in-class review will be held prior to each examination.
  • 20% of the grade is based on completing case project assignments sheets + lab quizzes
    • Assignments can be theoretical or practical.
    • They can be assignment of one student or 2 students (try to find your partner)

Make up Exam Policies

  • Make-up exams will only be given in the case of serious illness as verified by the committee of the make-up exams and the Dean of Students office with written documentation from a doctor.
  • Make-up exams will be comprehensive exam at the end of the semester.
  • The excuses forms taken from Mrs. Nouf alyahya and completed with the needed information and handed to us within one week after exam date.

Assignments handing and correcting policies:

  • All assignments will be handing on Saturday in a box in front of your TAs office from 8 - 12.
  • E-mailed assignments are not accepted.
  • Cheating is prohibited, so if you handed a copy assignment both you and your friend will take -1.
  • Write your full information (name, ID, section #), any assignment without them will loose (0.25).
  • Late assignment are not accepted, if you are sick bring a medical report, send a soft-copy of your assignment to your tutorial instructor via e-mail on the same day of the due date until 2 p.m. , and hand your assignment to your tutorial instructor ((personally)) later along with the medical report. If you either didn’t send your assignment or you didn’t hand a hard copy to your instructor, your assignment will not be corrected.
  • Under-doors handed sheets will not be corrected, hand your assignment to your instructor personally.
  • One Question of each assignment will be corrected randomly, so make sure that you solve all of them correctly
